For this film shoot we went to Bodmin Parkway to film the murder scene. The murder was taking place in daylight and the murder weapon was a scalpel.
We took a 6D and a 5D canon to film with a dolly, steadicam and a tripod. We used the dolly/tripod a lot as this allowed us to keep head height or a certain high without our hands shaking the cameras.
I feel like it went very well. We got shots we didn't think we would need just in case our film wasn't long enough or if we didn't have all the camera angles needed. Another thing that went well was acting. I felt the acting from both people was done very professionally. Especially the way Mr Howe improvised his walk.
An improvement that I would do if I had the chance to do everything again would be the timing of the murder. I feel like the murder would of been better at night. Mainly because in the day, there are people walking around and active cars. This is not a good environment for a murder so that's what I would of changed. Another improvement would be to go with our original idea of the multi story car park because I wanted to eerie lighting that there lights give. However due to weather conditions we could make it all the way to St Austell.
Even though there were some improvements needed, the execution of the camerawork was really good. My favourite shot of the day was the under the car shot with captured the murder.

1st Film shoot reflection
From the first film shooting, I feel we achieved the targets very well.
For this film shoot, which was for scene 1 & 4, we filmed in one of our design rooms in the college. We got a bed from the nurse and we also got a white screen from the nurse. For the medical equipment, we got it from science.
At first i had my doubts with the scene due to it not looking like a morgue. However, sticking to the 180 degree rule and choosing a blue gel to colour the room, it changed my doubts and it looked amazing!
The blue gel really did make the scene look good, however we did film both in blue gel and no gel just in case something went wrong. Another positive about the filming day was Mr Howe's acting. He brought a creepy persona with him which made the performance so much better.
