During the editing process of our film, we have we used many technological programs learning a lot in the process.
For this film, we used premiere pro to edit. This was a big step up from when we did the preliminary task as we used iMovie. The very first thing we learnt from it was the importing of clips. To move clips around, we used the selection tool. Another aspect of premiere pro we learnt was the cutting of the clips. For this we used the razor tool or command 'K' for a short cut. When editing, the zoom tool allowed me to find a precise point in a clip to cut. In premiere pro, we also learnt how to change the audio gained from the camera and the music we selected to be in there. Even though we never used any audio from the cameras, we still learnt how to mute it and project the music over it. Throughout our title sequence, we felt surfing footage would be very relevant. We added it in by overlapping the footage we gained over a surf relating clip, for example, the surf footage over the surfing book. We did this by using adjusting the opacity and then changing the blend mode. While doing this we learnt that premiere pro allowed you to overlap in many ways. This is something we learnt as we never had access to this feature on iMovie.
To create our opening credits, we used 'Adobe After Effects' as this was a professional program. It is excellent at making cgi content, which persuaded us to create our opening credits in it. The first thing we learnt was creating a new composition. This is what we would make our moving credits on. As we needed to have text, we created a text layer which was first unknown by us. However w
When we did our storyboard for the title sequence, we realised we were going to need graphics to put over features at Newquay. We made these graphics in photoshop. Photoshop wasn't new to us as we have used it in previous subjects. However certain features within photoshop like making our credits a 'Png' i did learn. We did this by using the 'magic wand tool' to clear the background. This let us place the credits in our desired places.

Film Shooting Day 3
Me and the actor went to the towan beach. We went to film some speech. I feel that this went well, as the weather was perfect and there wasn't to many people there to interrupt us.

Film Shooting Day 2
Here is a picture of Katie and i setting up the tripod. In the background is towan beach. This is the beach which we filmed on.
The first shooting day consisted of Katie using a steadicam to film around the shop and outside. This time we took a dolly and a tripod. We using the dolly when we were inside the new shop we used. This made it easier for Katie to move around to move around while keeping it at the height we wanted. Also whilst we were in the shop, we prepared tags to use instead of graphics as this made it look more professional. Outside of the shop, we took extra shots, like the pan of the sea when we were on the beach. We also had the idea of writing our title name 'Surfing School' in the sand, with the intention of waves to go over it. This was a struggle on the day as when i wrote the title, the wet sand made it hard to see it. It was also too large for the camera to fit it in. We had the idea of a birds eye shot, this basically impossible with what we had.
