Evaluation - NOT IN USE

1.In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

2.How does your media product represent particular social groups?

3.What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

4.Who would be the audience for your media product?

5.How did you attract/address your audience?

6.What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

7.Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Teens comedies are typically set in a school or places of social gathering such as a bedroom, the park or beaches. Also, most are filmed in American high schools as the comedy genre is 2 in popularity. However, as we targeted the Cornish teen populated, we filmed in locations that With the camera work, its mostly naturalistic. It normally shows none to be more superior to another. Katie and I chose the beach as our filming destination. The music normally used in teen comedy films are upbeat pop songs. We took this into account however, due to potential copyright infringement we cannot use well know songs like . We can though use similar tunes that will that give us permission. A website we have used for this is Bensound.com. The types of people that are starred in teen films are Cheerleaders, Nerds, Emos, Loners, Stoners, popular people which are always good looking and people who aren't a clique (these people are usually the protagonist of the film) (Isabella_Milne 2013)

If we were to be distributed by a large company, I feel that Buena Vista Pictures would distribute our film. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution, Inc. is a motion picture and television feature distribution company owned by The Walt Disney Company. This is because they distribute a lot of teen comedies like 'The Princess Diaries' and ' 10 things I hate about you'. Buena Vista Pictures. However, we are only a small film so that suggests we would have a privately owned British company distribute film. This would mean it wouldn't get as much publicity but its still getting distributed. It doesn't need much publicity as its we are only targeting the Cornish.

The target audience for our teen comedy film is aimed at the ages of 13 - 18 years of age. Most of our audience will be females. Our main character is a white female so we are aiming are film towards white teens. The filming will take place in Cornwall so are target audience will mostly be based in Cornwall. In Cornwall, the white population is 95.7% of the whole Cornish population. This is the reason it is mainly aimed at white British. Our main character in our movie, is someone who is aspiring to become popular. So is someone who thinks that if she isn't popular then she has no friends. She is someone desperately wanting to be accepted by her peers and the people around her. Also, with her name, she wants a power image which is wanted by her peer friendship group. And wanting a status which sees her as a popular person in her school.

In our title sequence, Katie and I attracted our audience by using the general genre conventions of our genre which was teen comedy and applying them to our video. Like the aspect of being outside and having fun. We did by this going to the beach. We filmed in Newquay.
My ident is based on the Cornish logo with the sea in the background. My company is called 'Kernow' which is directed towards the Cornish population. 'Kernow' meaning Cornwall.

I have learnt there is a lot of technology involved in making a movie. Even though i knew that there is a lot, I didn't know what every bit did. Through out this process, through research i have learnt what most pieces do. When going to the beach  we took a mic, which was to record the sound of the waves and hopefully the sound of a seagull.

I have learnt that there are many components to making a good filming. In the preliminary task, we never moved with the camera so we only had to focus the camera once. In this task, it is based on the point of view of the actor. This means that we had need to be focusing on focusing the camera constantly as the actor will be moving. I learnt that this was a hard job which Katie done very well. I also learnt that your surrounding can make your filming significantly harder. This being said, because we were at the beach we would normally have wind, animals and the sea being a problem with sound but we didn't need audio. The sun was always going to be a problem and thins isn't something i had learnt as u was aware it would make filming harder. Another thing i have learnt is that editing is a lot more difficult then first anticipated. The preliminary task didn't require great attention to editing so it was a big step up to edit this title sequence.
